A cool new ad campaign for Advanced Armament Corp. Not only did I get to design this ad… I also got to take on the lead role as the “hand model”.
I met up with Antonio Alvendia today to shoot some snaps of the E46 for a new project he’s working on called Speedhunters. Byron Hill brought his s14 down, and Marcos Ruiz towed his s13 with insane wheel fitment out to be shot as well. Cody Wellons from S3 Magazine came out… Erik Jacobs and Eugene Chou from DGTrials were in effect as well.
Speedhunters is going to be a world-wide collaboration of sorts… bringing you REAL automotive culture from across the globe. I’m really excited to see it launch. Personally, I like to see coverage of real cars that are built with passion, and actually DRIVEN. If I know Antonio… then I know Speedhunters will have plenty of that… not to mention plenty of slammed rides with insane offset.I won’t give any shots away from the shoot… just some random snaps only.

Antonio Alvendia shot some pictures of us for his Drifting Book follow-up about drifting lifestyle & culture. We will be featured in his second drifting book for shooting and making Slide America. It’s definitely an honor to be recognized for making this crazy digital film. We had fun hanging out and eating Cracker Barrel with Antonio while he was in town. Here is one of the shots he e-mailed me. It turned out SICK!
Some new techniques I’ve been messing with on a picture I shot of the rig all suited up with battle armor. What started out as a simple retouch, turned into a nice composite!

The original photo:

What started out as a simple retouch for a sticker, turned into an all out Photoshop-a-thon. It was kinda cool applying some of the techniques I learned through doing retouching for Vanity Fair at work.

Thanks to Joey Redmond, for snapping the original photo.

This is going to be the sticker that will double as my new business card.

Erik Jacobs, Tony Schulz, Dennis Mertzanis, Jonathan Martin, and myself were invited up to Lanier National Speedway for a 10 minute drift demo between circle track races.
This was some of the fastest I’ve consistently drifted to date. Usually you get a super-fast entry… and slow down a good bit for the rest of the course layout – rnbut this was top of third gear – pedal through the firewall the entire time!!!
A few pictures from the drift demo madness (c/o www.codywellons.com).

This is one of the oversized prints I’ve been working on. This will be one of five printed on silk for display at the M5 launch on October 22nd here in Atlanta.
