Snagged a new floor jack today. My $20 Pep Boys jack lasted me about 5 years… so a new one was long overdue. I couldn’t waste any time with the stickers. Had to stick it before the dirt and grime sets in.
In an effort to raise the bar at grassroots drift events… I schemed with Marcos and cranked out a RAD set of decks that will be trophies for this coming weekend’s Southeast Drift Challenge. This will be the first grassroots drift event in Atlanta with sanctioned team drift and single-run competition. This mad action will span two days at Turner.

There will be two complete sets of these decks to be won. The 1st place finishers (3 drivers) in the team drift competition will each receive a deck. Each of their decks will read “Team Drift 1st Place”. The 1st-3rd place finishers in the single-run competition on Sunday will receive one of the above decks with their respective finish on it.

I decided to shine up The Destroyer™. Some TLC for this truck was long overdue. While I was at it, I de-stickered it. Maybe it is time for new stickers… maybe she’ll stay sleek and clean for a bit. The only sticker that remains is an OG gold/black Cipher Garage sticker on the rear glass.

I came across this old picture of me and my best friend Hooman from the summer of ’96. I developed this test strip in my high school photo class, hence the sever discoloration over the past 13 years.
Before finally retiring my Sidekick II, I dumped the remaining photos to my iMac. I knew once the switch was made to AT&T, T-Mobile would erase everything. There were photos on that phone that I refused to delete… from day one. It was always fun to randomly scroll through them and remember some good times.
After Formula D Sonoma, 2005… I may or may not have tagged an unsuspecting patrol car with a “Drifting Is Not A Crime” sticker.

Headed back from Sonoma on that same trip, we detoured through Vegas, and I rented this 348 Spider.

Sitting in grid at Formula D Chicago in 2005. That’s right… WOOD GRAIN.

Random snap outside One3 Creative when I was rocking handlebars.

Gas station sign in the middle of nowhere. I spotted this in the Southewest on my way out to Formula D Irwindale in 2005.

Fast forward to the summer of 2006. During the shooting of Slide America we found ourselves sleeping in empty offices at MySpace while rnour buddy Jacob Leveton finished working the night shift. It seemed fitting to take a “MySpace Picture” in the MySpace bathroom.

The back of the rental van (that we beat the living hell out of) towards the end of principal photography for Slide America.

Minutes after driving off the lot in The Destroyer™… January 2007.

My dry-erase board marking the completion of editing Slide America… May 2007.

Having Nascar-style door-bars welded into my rollcage up at J3 Racing. One of the largest and CLEANEST shops I have ever been in. rnI literally ate off the floor.

Post-surgical x-rays of the 7″ plate and 8 screws now permanent to my collar. September 2007.

Every Racing Dynamics wheel I own… including the (then unused) chrome set… all mounted up c/o Gran Turismo East rnand ready for thrashing at DMGGMASD. October 2008.

And last… but not least… the Pushead desktop image that I rocked for 4 years.

The new issue of S3 Magazine has hit newstands and mailboxes. The 4-page DMGGMASD spread is included in this issue… as is the Slide Style™ “Old Black” full-pager..
