Design-wise, I stepped way out of my comfort-zone (in several ways) with the 3rd issue of Wrecked Magazine. These three spreads illustrate some of the different typographic, illustrative, and layout styles I put into the latest issue..

As the only designer on staff for Wrecked Magazine, I always have a huge task to undertake with each issue. I like to design the cover last… so it it can reflect the vibe of the issue. I’m really pleased how this cover turned out. It definitely represents the issue well, for all those who really do judge books (or in this case, magazines) by their covers.
I managed to swing a nice retouch for the “Gifts Your Trashy Girlfriend Can Afford” spread in the 2nd issue of Wrecked Magazine:

Not only did the guys at S3 Magazine allow my car to grace their cover… they handed the layout and retouch task off to me. Overall, I’m very pleased with the result! Big thanks to Dosa Kim for the sick firebird illustration on the hood! And to Carlos Richard for the photo for the cover!!

We got the proof back for the Slide America disc art today. We are going to run the discs using both matte and gloss black inks. It will look like a spot UV, but with actual inks. I’m super excited to see how these turn out!
The magenta represents where the matte black will be screened.

I finished up the final cover for Slide America! This is the final artwork to appear on the DVD that drops in next month.

This is one of the oversized prints I’ve been working on. This will be one of five printed on silk for display at the M5 launch on October 22nd here in Atlanta.

Here is a proof of one of the poster layouts I’ve been working on for the world-wide launch of the M5.
